Detail Makeover Stannic Matte Lipstick is on my list of metallic lipsticks that you should try for the holidays. I thought that since New Year is coming up, I ought to share a written review of the Stannic Matte Lipsticks from Detail Makeover but if you're a video type of gal, scroll below and watch the embedded video!
So Detail Makeover is a Filipino brand of makeup that is now also available in some Department Stores and Grocery Stores. They used to be just sold online under Cosmetix Unlimited and Detail Makeover IG and website. Don't worry though, you can still buy these online, I just mentioned that this is available in stores for those who feel iffy about purchasing online.
I personally buy from the Detail Cosmetics Shopee storebecause they usually have sales and discounts.
Detail Makeover Stannic Matte Lipstick Review
As far as I know, the Detail Makeover Stannic Matte Lipsticks are available in just 4 shades,
- Polaris
- Canopus
- Rigel
- Pleades
Note that although Rigel and Canopus may seem similar, they have varying depths of color and undertone.
One tube is 6 grams and retails for about P200 (the price may have changed already because I bought these more than a year ago)

I like the square-ish packaging. It looks classy. The applicator is a flat paddle by the way, not a doe foot applicator. I think they made it this way for a more even application of the product.

Just a heads up, you will need at least 2 swipes to achieve the metallic lip effect with the Detail Makeover Stannic Matte Lipstick. The swatches below are 2-3 swipe swatches.

As you can see, the Stannic Matte Lipsticks are metallic but are matte enough to not be "in your face". The lasting power is quite decent so I think this is a good lipstick for the New Year!

I rate this product 4/5 only because I cannot wear this for everyday. I think the formula is great and the lasting power is quite long and will stay even through eating as long as you don't go for finger-lickin foods like lechon and buffalo wings haha! Opacity can be improved and the product can get clumpy after its been used for quite some time (packaging issue?). Overall I think the quality is quite good for the price so no complaints for me.
I personally buy from the Detail Cosmetics Shopee storebecause they usually have sales and discounts.
