Hello Glow All Natural Whitening Set Review - Safe Rejuvenating Set Philippines First Impressions

Rejuvenating skincare sets are a huge part of the local skincare market in the Philippines. Unfortunately, most of the rejuvenating skincare sets and skin whitening sets being sold contain a lot of harmful ingredients and have questionable manufacturing practices. I've personally been a victim of the hype back in 2016. I tried a much-raved rejuv set from their official seller and ended up with chemically-burned skin which cost me the equivalent of a new laptop to fix with my derma. I swore off using a rejuv set back then because none of them are transparent with their ingredients list or FDA status; which brings us to why I finally decided to try Hello Glow last week.

Hello Glow All Natural Whitening Set Review

Hello Glow is a Safe 'Rejuvenating Set' Philippines

Hello Glow launched just before the lockdown if I am not mistaken but I held off trying a set because 1. no stores were delivering and 2. I was really wary because of my bad experience with a well-known rejuv set years ago. Since it was released, a few of my favorite and trusted fellow bloggers raved about Hello Glow on their social media. I told myself, why not get a set and give it a try (making sure I do a patch test first).

Hello Glow All-Natural Whitening Set is:

  • cruelty-free
  • paraben-free
  • pregnancy-safe
  • breastfeeding safe
  • sensitive skin-friendly
  • FDA approved

When I first got my set about 10 days ago, I made sure to look up all the Hello Glow claims online and stalk their social media. I saw a lot of people attesting about how good the products are (bloggers and non-bloggers alike) and posted some before and after photos at the Hello Glow Squad Facebook group. I looked up proof that they are FDA approved (the proof is at the Hello Glow Official Instagram account) before I even did a patch test. I also made sure to look up each of the ingredients on the list to make sure that they are sensitive-skin friendly. I usually do this for all products anyway but I was extra careful because I've truly learned my lesson to be extra careful when it comes to rejuv sets. GOOD NEWS is that everything checks out so yay!

Hello Glow All Natural Whitening Set is P360 for the entire set consisting of the following:

  • Hello Glow 4-in-1 Whitening Soap is P80 per bar
  • Hello Glow Clarifying Toner is P120 per 50ml bottle
  • Hello Glow Whitening Cream is P144 per 10 grams jar
  • Hello Glow Sunscreen Cream is P144 per 10 grams jar
You can save a lot by purchasing the set and I think there are also discounts if you are buying more than 5 sets; however, I really love that there is an option to purchase products individually. I am currently using the soap for both my face and body and I use the toner several times a day and think I will run out of them wayyy before the whitening cream and the sunscreen cream. You can buy Hello Glow products from their official stores and resellers via Shopee and Lazada.

Hello Glow Ingredients Transparency and Product Packaging Comments

I really liked how the manufacturing dates, batch number, full product ingredients, and directions are in the individual product packaging as well as the box that the Hello Glow All Natural Whitening set came in. In my experience, I don't always get to use up all the products from a set at the same time. Hello Glow made it easier to be able to use each product independently by not having to keep the box since all important information are on the individual packaging.

Hello Glow 4-in-1 Whitening Soap

  • Has a papaya-ish and melon-ish scent
  • Sells for P80 per bar
  • Effective cleanser for both face and body

I've been using the Hello Glow 4-in1 whitening soap for both face and body and it is the mildest kojic acid soap that I've tried. If you've tried the Belo Kojic Acid bar (review here), this is a lot milder but with excellent cleansing properties. I was really concerned that my skin will dry out or I will have to use some lotion but flaking and dryness has not been an issue. To be clear, the soap does have a micro-exfoliating effect but what wowed me is that I can see no visible peeling at all.

The Hello Glow 4-in-1 Whitening Soap is a bit too soft so it is best to place it inside a net foamer so that you can maximize its use and to avoid melting. A little goes a long way. I haven't used my exfoliating mit in more than a week and my skin is still so soft and smooth just with this soap.

Hello Glow Clarifying Toner

  • Has a mild sweet fruity scent
  • Doesn't have any stinging feel
  • Feels refreshing
  • Doesn't leave the face feeling squeaky and taut
  • I personally use this as a hydrating toner
  • Sells for P120 per 50 ml bottle

How I wish Hello Glow would sell the toner in HUGE bottles. I think I will use up the bottle in just 2 weeks because I use it around 3X a day for the refreshing and hydrating effect. I usually use Japanese and Korean toners because I have super maarte sensitive skin but this toner is comparable if not better than my usual expensive brands. One can argue that this is expensive too if basing the price per ml but I guess you just have to experience the Hello Glow Clarifying Toner for yourself to know what I am talking about.

Hello Glow Whitening Cream and Hello Glow Sunscreen Cream

  • Hello Glow Whitening Cream is a light skin-repairing moisturizer (I use this at night)
  • Hello Glow Sunscreen Cream is a moisturizing sunscreen with no white cast (I use this during the day)
  • Both have a fruity sweet melon-ish scent but not overpowering
  • Both can be worn under makeup
  • You can layer both products if you have dry skin. I have oily skin so I just use the whitening cream at night and the sunscreen during the day.
  • I will be testing the whitening cream on my UA too because I have seen people rave about how great it is for achieving flawless kili-kili
  • I wish they come in squeezable tubes or resealable pouches so they'd be more hygienic to use

I have tested a lot of local skincare brands but nearly none has made it to the blog because I wasn't wowed. Hello Glow is one of the top 5 that I have tried and given that this skincare brand is under Ever Bilena, one of the very few Filipino-made proudly pinoy skincare brands that I think can break into the international market (they have the manufacturing capacity and distribution networks). For this to happen, they might need to change some of the packaging (especially the jars). I truly hope that they'd consider selling a larger bottle of the toner and maybe expand with a hydrating mist, eye cream, serum, body wash, and lotion. Heck, I'd even buy a cologne if they can make one that smells like the toner, haha!

I've only been using my set for a little over a week so I can't give a rating yet. So far, this is one of the few products (local and international) that didn't cause any untoward skin reaction for me. Another skincare set comes to mind but that one has 7 products in the line and costs several thousand pesos. Why buy that when you can get the same results for much less while supporting a local brand, diba?

Will update this blog or maybe post individual product write-ups! It's been so long since I've blogged. been busy with work but rest assured I got so many other good finds lined up for here and the YeyAndie Blog.

Let's stay connected!

Revlon ColorStay Endless Glow Highlighter Swatches and Review - Liquid Highlighter for the Holidays!

I've always been a fan of highlighters. I have an unhealthy number of highlighter reviews on this blog for someone who is only a casual makeup wearer. I also happen to have more than 100 different highlighters in different formulas and forms. Yeah, it's embarrassing, haha! Anyway, I'm not bragging. I'm just establishing the fact that I've always been a highlighter person even though I don't wear them that much. There is just something about things that are shining, shimmering, and splendid that leaves dazzled and wanting more! My favorite highlighters are usually in powder form, though, because I find cream and liquid highlighters a bit cumbersome to use...until I met Revlon ColorStay Endless Glow Highlighter!

Revlon Colorstay Lifeproof Foundation Stick Review - The Foundation for Philippine Weather!

I'm not usually a fan of foundation sticks because they don't work on my oily dehydrated skin so it took me a while before I decided to take Revlon Colorstay Lifeproof Foundation Stick for a spin. Major regret because it turned out really good!

Revlon Colorstay Lifeproof Foundation Stick Review - The Foundation for Philippine Weather!

Yep, I've said it. THIS is the foundation for Philippine weather! I usually take a long time to post reviews because I don't like posting reviews about products that I've only tried once or twice so rest assured I've used this for about a week before publishing this review on Revlon ColorStay LifeProof Foundation Stick.

EB Advance Absolute Matte Lipstick Review and ALL Swatches by Ever Bilena

EB Advance Absolute Matte Lipstick is what my matte lipstick dreams are made of! I've always talked about having dry lips and how I'm no longer a fan of drying formulas. I don't like shine and gloss either so it isn't very easy for me to find lip products that I really like. This is why I am giving the EB Advance Absolute Matte Lipsticks my seal of approval.
